Sai Sanjeevini Educational Society was established in the year 2017, with a view to engage in service activities aimed at improving the educational, health and social conditions of the public in general. The main objective of the society is to strive for educational upliftment of the people and to encourage learning as a positive experience.

With the vision of imparting high quality nursing education and improving standards of nursing care, the society has established Sai Sanjeevini School of Nursing, in the premises of Sai Sanjeevini Hospital, Kothapet, Hyderabad. As part of its activities the School offers a Three year diploma course in nursing.

Sai Sanjeevini School of Nursing is one of the first private School of Nursing established in the State of Telangana, by the Sai Sanjeevini Educational Society and is affiliated to Directorate of Medical Education, Telangana if has well experienced full time Nursing and part time Medical faculty as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. It has an excellent Library and fully equipped Laboratories. The School is affiliated to Sai Sanjeevini Hospitals, Paramitha Children Hospital and KGH Hospital for clinical experience.

Introduction To Nursing

Nursing has envolved over the centuries as a humanistic, caring, nurturing, comforting and supporting profession.

Nursing as an integral part of the health care delivery system of the country is committed to the goal of ‘Health for All’. Nurses need to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes and need to be critical thinkers, decision makers and competent practioners within a broad spectrum of health care service.

Nurses function in variety of roles in different settings, these include care provider, communicator, helper, teacher, counselor, leader, manager and researcher and in a nutshell nursing is a noble helping profession.

AIM

To prepare nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, beginning with the competencies for first level positions in all kinds of health care settings.
To help nurses develop an ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with members of the health team in the prevention of disease, promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick.

Admission

Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:

The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above.
